A study in diversity of tastes and a bit novel in my mind. I really had to think twice, over several drinks, as to my opinion of this bottle. I didn't get the nose others were talking about - I thought it was very inviting. However there was a prevailing back note that I wasn't overly fond of - possibly very oak forward from the cask. finish was OK - not overly drawn out with a nice warmth traveling into my sinuses especially. Not a hero in the sipping department but will do in a pinch. it does shine with equal parts of cola but too expensive to be a mixer. On the subject of cost.....I paid under $60 (including tax) in Alberta. Even in my home city, prices ranged north of 80 and noticed prices in some areas north of $100 Can. Wow what a difference. this has been the most extreme example of price differences but folks, let your fingers do the walking on the internet and save some coin. Cheers!

too sweet for my pallette. Funky is the way for me as i´m coming from whisky ... smoke and peat.

This is a drink created especially for ladies I assume, as alcohol content is less, even though there is still a lil alcohol burn at the start, just to show some “character”. One that can be mixed (price is on the lower end of quality drinks) or sipped. This drink is very sweet, sugar (caramel) taste predominates and there is a veeeery little hint of oak and plum.
I got a headache quickly after, hopefully not because of some artificial alcohol in this :(

While it’s not a bad rum, the smell burns from alcohol and it’s wuite sweet. Personally I think there are better options for this price tag.

Chocolate and coffee. I've heard this called "the Jack Daniel's of India" and I get it; you could get used to this unique flavor. But it's also incredibly cheap, despite the special bottle. It's too bad I really dislike this unique flavor.

I'm not usually a fan of Solera aging, finding it TOO smooth, and I prefer molasses to sugar cane. It's also a little more oak than I want. It's not terrible, just not to my preference.

Dark is good but it gives me a headache so Im not super inclined to get it. Someone has it ill drink it type thing

This smooth dark rum has an excellent deep oak flavour, that lasts. Wonderful balanced. A pleasure to drink

This beautiful coloured rum, is too dominant in it's spice. Personally I find the flavour of licorice too strong

Bra sötma, inte för mycket. Chokladboll, apelsin i smaken. Vanilj. Lång eftersmak.

An ordinary rum without any special features, nothing memorable for 8 years of aging.

Definitely one of the premium rums I tasted so far. Pretty strong when you drink it straight, but I would recommend it with an ice cube, it balances it very well.

but only a good choice if you have a bit of a a sweet tooth, since this is clearly sugared.

It's the best run I've ever had. Not the most versatile as it really just needs ice and I find if I add it to anything it loses the depth that makes it so special. But I don't drink much, just little sippers here and there, and before I knew it this bottle was low. If you got the money and still find one lying around it's worth a snag.
