Hi LUKAŽIGA and Stefan, Firstly, I want to thank you both for your insightful comments and contributions to the rum community. I completely agree that both platforms bring their own advantages and disadvantages, and therefore both have their individual raison d'être. Each platform offers unique features that cater to different aspects of rum enthusiasm. Regarding the placeholders in our database...

Hi there, I just added a rum (https://rumratings.com/rum/17061-bocatheva-venezuela-full-proof-15-year) but this one has been automatically recorded as a rum from Panama, probably because of others rums from this brand. As you can see it, this rum is actually from Venezuela. Can you fix it, please? Thanks :-)...

Update, my last bottle of Maestro and it's day 7. Yep, that dark chocolate came out this time too! I'm now convinced that H.C. has something unique that others don't. Just wish I could get this locally. Cheers!...

Hi! There is a newer French rum bottler Saint eloi Spirits, it has around 15 different rums. Would you please load all of them? I have bought 8 different bottles. There would be time wasting to put each of them separately on RR. Here is the link: https://www.leschaissainteloi88.fr/ Thank you. Best regards Aleš ...

I think that is different (available only in Barbados, or at least according to the text...). Check it out: https://www.bittersandbottles.com/products/planteray-cut-dry-coconut-rum?_pos=1&_sid=1a52150db&_ss=r Kaniche has been around for a while actually. The Fiji is new, but wondering how close it is to Plantation Fiji, I haven't tried it. The Perfeccion is actually pretty good (Panama)...

It still says Plantation on the bottle...

So what is the Kaniche named rums released last year from the parent company Masion Ferrand? I thought that was the name change. I suppose the old rums will retain the old name?...

Didn't see it on the Plantation website, but apparently the first one to bear the Planteray name will be (is) the Cut & Dry Coconut rum, now available. Maybe it has been available for a while? Don't have it in my locale yet, not that I've seen anyway. But it's got a few reviews here already....

Thanks for the feedback. Apple hasn't allowed us to update the app as it has a restriction to only use Apple billing systems (and RR doesn't). So for now unfortunately we're 'left' with the browser for IOS users. The nice thing is your mobile browser and IOS app are the same experience, so the only thing lost is an easy link. But it's even possible to add a link to your homepage of a website that ...

Basically, the problem is that when you try to log in inside the app, it opens a browser page. Then you proceed to log in, but it only logs you in the browser, while you are still logged out in the app. I just can't log in inside the app whatsoever......

I keep rich turbinado sugar around for pretty much everything from my cold brewed coffee to juices and tiki drinks. I like the flavor it brings versus plain sugar, but also that turbinado doesn't dissolve well if it isn't pre-dissolved. Since a lot of unsweetened juices, like orange, aren't what they used to be, I'd never go back to simple syrup, white or otherwise. You could also go to your sto...

No, double 1:1 is not the same as 2:1, just make the 2:1 - easy enough. Double 1:1 will skew your ratios. Part of the use of 2:1 is to enhance the overall texture of the cocktail....

OFTD is excellent. Xamayca isn't bad. I do actually like the 5-year Barbados. The XO Barbados is a total waste of monet in my opinion, as is the 3-Star - I know that generally cuts against the grain on both counts, but the XO is just flat with no depth or real character (less expensive Mount Gay rums are better) and the 3-Star leaves a funky after-taste that I don't care for. I t does seem like ...

So far I've only tried Plantation Original Dark Double Aged and really like it. I want to try OFTD, but can't find it near me. Will probably try the Xymaca and the 5-yr aged just because the Dark is tasty. I'm wondering if they're just dragging their feet on the name change until people forget about it....

Since all that I still buy from them is their OFTD and Artisinal 3-Star, I really don't care about the new name being influenced by too many people with thin skin. However, the new name is even worse and Andy nailed it!!! A much better and more appropriate name should have been Planted Cane. Very few of their limited release rums have impressed me. But if I wound up liking some like their XO Guat...

Lukaziga,I think both have their advantages and disadvantages. RumX is a more modern site and very good for those who want a tool to keep track of their rum collection, for example how many bottles you have and which ones are opened. The major disadvantage of RumX is the amount of temporary images, which probably amounts to around 40%, and that the images that are input from time to time are inco...

Oliver,We shouldn't have this discussion here on RumRatings in my opinion, but I can give you an example. Botran: There are a number of 12, 15 & 18 year old releases at RumX with altered bottle or label. I haven't tasted them all, but I hardly think that the content has changed in all of them and they are not called edition #1, 2, 3 and so on or stamped with a vintage year and they are defini...

Dubai has a similar range, maybe a few more on offer but the prices are not really that competitive because it's a Mulism country, they import it so there's not really a saving if you know where to look online (in UK this would be Amazon). When I have travelled through Spain, it has not been as extensive as this. I think if your going to countries where the exchange rate is poorer you might get a ...
