This rum is a blend from 5 rums from Trinidad, Guayana, Jamaica, Indonesia and Barbados. The one from Indonesia is a Batavia Arrack. All rums should be aged in Bourbon Barrels in their country, then shiped to Germany, where they were blended together. After blending there was a finish in Ex-Chardonnay-Wine-Casks for further 2 years.
Sounds interesting. Let's try.
Nose : Grappa. A little rum in the back but in the front clearly Grappa. Maybe the Jamaica rum is a little to dominant.
Palate : Grappa again, same program as in the nose. It seems like 90% is Jamaica rum and the rest of the 10 % is shared between the other 4 rums. On top with the impact of the Chardonnay-Cask. I realize grapes and apple. A little pear and plum.
Surprisingly smooth, creamy and the 40 % are not sharp. But also nothing sweet.
Finish : medium long and creamy. Nothing burns. Same taste as on the palate.
All in all a good drinkable Drink. But not really a rum. The fruity grappa-touch is to much (for me). Supplementary, I'm a fan of sweet rums.
So, for all Jamaica-Fans a clearly recommendation, for all the other fans of a "real rum" : don't be surprised ! For me a respectable 6, because it's good neat to drink. But not enough for a 7 because of the dominant grappa impact.
Nice try of carribean, rum taste is not so sharp, little sweet and finish is smooth. Empty glass smell is sweet addicting.
I can only repeat what I wrote to Capulet & Montague Bonplan Rouge: "Very smooth, very soft. Not much in the nose, agreable in the mouth, though. Easy summer-drink, I'd say." So, summer can begin.

Nice honey yellow in the glass.
In the nose light and fruity. Ripe tropical fruits bedded on moss and powdered with cocoa.
On the palate elegant and light-footed. Red berries on a vanilla tartlet, caramel and cocoa play with your taste buds and caress them sweetly.
In the finish chocolate aromas remain long lasting and sweet.
An interesting rum that wants to be discovered. At the beginning a little flat and reserved, but the longer in the glass the greater the variety of aromas. Wonderfully balanced, no aroma plays a dominant role, not even the barrel. For connoisseurs and beginners in the world of unsweetened rum.
