Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 β€œsecret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.

The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

After taking the advice of a friend I bought a bottle and wasn't disappointed, but I also wasn't blown away.

It's definitely something I'd have on hand for company or for someone that doesn't want a strong rum to mix with coke.

A tasteless spiced rum. When it comes to spiced, most are over-powered by vanilla. An average spiced rum for mixers or sipping if oneself enjoys it.
