I have been looking at this at the local liquor store. This last visit they gave us a staste. Wow. The smell of banana hits you before the rum hits your lips. The smell is strong but it is not overpowering and tha flavour is milder than the aroma. The banana caramel and vanilla notes work well together. My liquor store canβt keep enough of it they are always running out. It has its place, its nice to sip but I am looking forward to having it in a cocktail. Enjoy....I did.π
Un nez caramel, une attaque caramel, un final caramel, bref une vΓ©ritable sucrerie.
Wow, sweet banana. No alcohol bite at all. Super easy to drink.
We just choose this as a lets try it and we liked the flavor. Heavy smell of caramelized banana. Smooth finish and a nice ending.
Nice Caribbean sweet ron with taste of bananas and vanilla little bit. The tail of ron goes to some fruits smoothly. I would say good ron for a good price, which ladies also could drink.
It is fruity and easy to sip. Not sure I could do an evening of just this while hanging out with friends. But good for a variety and conversation.
Had it not been for all of the reviews on here stating how this is really a banana liqueur, I would not have bought it. Since most banana liqueurs are dirt cheap and of very poor quality, I sprang $33 for this one. I also needed some banana to maybe cancel out the awful artificial orange of my bottle of Pyrat XO. This may also mix well with my coconut or spiced rums. This could also be used to appease the Bacoo spirit that likes bananas and milk. It smells like banana. It tastes like banana. It goes down like banana and vanilla. There is no burn or bitterness. For banana lovers only.
To me the first smell of this rum was very inviting, yet somewhat artificial. The banana taste makes this an interesting choice for those who prefer sweet alcoholic taste of rums. Overall a fun rum to sip, but don't expect to much of this.
I stumbled on this rum when it was recommended at a local liquor store. A great sipping rum with lots of flavors and very smooth. The rum is sweet and may not appeal to everyone but has very distinct flavors.
The nose smells very sweet. Llashings of caramel and toffee.
"It barely even tastes like alcohol in any way shape or form. No mid palate and definitely no finish not even the slightest hint of alcohol burn. Maybe a little bit of woodiness as it goes down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Plenty of criticism on this one at their ethnicity, labelled as Craft Rum, but at strength of 35% and added ingredient, technically a spiced rum instead. However, spiced rum are considered crafted right?
N- Banana fritter with chocolate sauce, sugar in the heart with green mango and young fruit, quite potent at the tail with nail polish with hints of white distillate. (79/16)
P- Vanilla, clove, cardamon and assam boi, gently salty-sweet, light, feel tropical and relaxing, would drink this over some crushed ice under the shades of coconut trees, by the sea of course. (83/18)
F- Short, light, sweet but not cloying. Confusing labeling apart, this is acceptable to me, and certainly there are poorer spiced rum out there. (83/18)
B/B- 83/18
