XO 20th Anniversary
Made by a cognac maker. Smells of vanilla and coconut. Sweet taste. Finish with dusty cocoa and cigar box.
Rhum Clement VSOP
Rated like a fine cognac. Strong, made from pressed sugar cane instead of molasses. From Martinique. With a splash of water it really opened up.
Barbados XO 20th Anniversary
Plantation xo 20th
Very sweet! You can really taste the banana and coconut. Well crafted but I'm not sure I like the overly sweetness.
Nice flavor up front followed by the alcohol ovenproof.
Kirk and Sweeney
Kirk and Sweeny
A little sweet with a bite at the end. A little pricey for the end result but is quality.
Gran Reserva 23
Matusalem gran reserva 23
Strong flavor yet subtle complexity. Dominican but originally from Cuba I think. Blend of old and new vintages.
Very nice sipper. Hot bite with a smooth finish. Good spice
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva
Really flavorful. Banana and caramel. Not hot. Really like this.

61% but very sippable. In a mixed drink- very tasty.
Ron cartavio 12 year
Really smooth. From Peru. Oak, caramel, not too sweet.
Not sure if this is the $60 version. It says double wood aged. Very good, smooth, a little wood.

Super smooth with a peppery bite at the end. Great lingering after taste.

From Guyana, caramel, brûléed sugar, tobacco and dried fruit.
Wow, sweet banana. No alcohol bite at all. Super easy to drink.
Big taste of honey, smooth, overall good balance. Good sipper.
Had this in a daiquiri at club 33 in Disneyland. A true Cuban daiquiri. Panama rum, lime juice and sugar.
Very smooth. No bite at the end at all. Interesting that this is a blend of years.
Rare Blend 12-Year
Appletons Rare Blend 12
44%. Nose of mild coffee but I don't taste it. You can feel the extra alcohol but not in a bad way. Nice overall sipper.
Ballast Point Three Sheets
Light silver clear color. Really taste the sugar. Not molasses. A little more harsh but would taste great in a good mixed drink.
Not very dark in color. The bottle design has been redone using a resealable beer bottle design. I enjoyed sipping it.
Smells hot but doesn't taste it. No big flavors jump out. Easy sipper.
Mount gay black barrel
Strong alcohol finish. Slight whiskey feel. 43%. A drop of water opened it up more.
Ballast Point Barrel Aged
Smooth well balanced. Good finish. Overall pretty good.
Alcohol bite up front that lingers on down. Caramel hint.
Papas pilar dark
Molasses syrup. Alcohol bite up front. Sipper. Splash of water opens it up.
R. L. Seale's
86 proof. Bite at the finish. Nice for the price. Blah blah blah. Am I to 50 characters yet?
Don Q grab anejo
Not bad. Good sipper. Might have put too much water in it.
Good middle of the road rum
Fairly balanced and a decent sipper for the price.
Papas Pilar Blonde
Very banana. Sweet. Smooth sipper. Found at $27. Great for that price.

Pretty straightforward clear run made from sugar cane. Balanced.
7 Anos Reserva Superior
Ron Abuelo 7 year
Nice overall taste but nothing really stands out. Good for the price.
Captain Morgan silver
Meh. Okay for mixing but not for sipping. Better than the overly sweet and punchless main brand.
20 Art Edition
Mocambo 20 year art edition
Always wary when they make a fancy bottle. Middle of the road IMO. A bit of spice at the start.
Leblon Light Cachaca
Clear, smells a bit like chocolate tequila. Not much of a sipper. But this is he first Cachaca I've had so my review is rookie.
Was sitting in a friends cabinet for a few years. Alcohol bite immediately. Not a sipper.
Tasty upfront with a bit of harsh bite at the end.
