Ron Esclavo XO

The nose is wonderful, in the mouth it is thick.. With a hint of coffe.. But the fire from the alcohol comes at you. It burns you at the finish. And leaves you with that wonderful hint of coffe. I can´t wait for this rum to mature..

I tried this series 12y 15y and XO and they taste all the same and you have the same burning experience. I had hoped with this one that it would be different but I cannot sip it straight compared to my other rums

Had this in an tasking box from Ron Esclavo. Good tasting nice vanilla tones pretty sweet

Very sweet, lots of sugar added, but very complex and decent aged flavours.
Thick, syrup like mouthfeel.
For me, It's a little bit boring but Spanish rum lovers can add 1-2 point's to my rating.

Ok sipper, good mixer. But for that price - terrible for both.

Best Rum in the category €50-€75. Smooth, silky, creamy, sugar, vanilla. The French oak gives it a more fruity flavor than American oak. One of the few rums I always keep in stock!

Overly sweet and sugared, but still somewhat drinkable, with notes of tropical fruits and brioche.

This is a very smooth very sweet rum, but I would love to have some research on added sweetener or flavors. If this is 100% naturalist it is unbelievably good, but nothing like my other top rated rums like Foursquare, and Appleton 21, 25, 30.

please find me an aged rum from Dominican Republic that is not sweetened after distillation !
they are real gentlemen, doing all rums for senoritas, not one for men !
