The 3yo from Montebello is a blend of 70% 3yo rhum, 20% 8yo rhum and 10% of 12yo rhum which gives an average age of 5 years.
It’s actually the only aged Montebello rhum that is a blend. All the others are vintages.
The nose is quite aromatic and it’s possible to recognize sweet vanilla and fruits.
On the palate the cane and grassiness comes together with some peppers and licorice.
The end is medium long and fruits and licorice dominates.
As a summary I think they have made a great job to create this blend.
