Privateer Queen’s Share Cask Strength 4-Year

I liked this one. No particular odor, but the flavor is definitely oak with some sweetness. A bit more afterburn than I would have liked, but it was not off putting. Mixed was even better as it brought out the oak even more.

Delicious! A surprisingly smooth high proof rum that tastes like oak and vanilla. The best American made rum I’ve ever had. Very good.

Wine on the nose, sweet prune taste with a good peppery burn and long wine finish. Think like a barrel strength dos maderas but less sweet

Smooth for 103 proof and just absolutely amazing. It taste like an unsweetened spiced carrot cake at first sip and then rolls into raisins, almond, nutmeg, cinnamon, and just a touch of smoke and oak. Truly amazing considering the owner never uses any sugars or sweeteners and I could drink this glass after glass. Which actually I did...
