Rammstein Limited Edition Sauternes Cask 12-Year

A gigantically delicious rum I must say. It smells a little woody with red fruit mixed in. The first sip was a bit whiskey-like, but I am starting to like that a lot lately. Little burn at the first sip in the throat, but by the second one it was gone. You can taste the red fruits in it. It has a nice woody aftertaste to the palate. I love it. And in cola he is the master!!! I give em an 8.

I'll start this by saying I like the music, but I'm also quite wary when when it comes to branding all sorts of non music related products. I convinced myself to buy this version because of the Sauternes Cask label, the price +/-55€ is in my eyes a midrange.

The first nose after opening the bottle and pouring a glass is quite sharp, a bit alcoholic but not unpleasant. Some ripe fruits and citrus. I feared this would be a let down, but after letting it settle down a bit the smells got less intense.

The first sip is equally strong as the smell suggests, strong wood tones from the casks rule initially. Surprisingly it mellows down quite quickly, then the smooth tastes of the wine follows. The initial burn smoothes out really nice and the aftertaste is very pleasant.

At 46% it's strong, but the alcohol is not that noticeable and the rum goes down pretty quickly.

I really like this rum, it's exciting and surprising. Yeah you guessed it... Just like a Rammstein concert. At this price I rate it a 9

je unikátní blend karibských rumů, které zrály po dobu 12 let v dubových sudech. Tato limitovaná edice získala další zrání 9 měsíců v sudech po francouzském víně Sauternes (sladké bílé víno z oblasti Bordeaux). Výsledkem je dokonale vyvážený rum s jemnými tóny tropického citrusového ovoce a medu ze sudů od vína Sauternes. Vyrobeno pouze 9718 lahví.
Ve vůni je cítit hnědý cukr, med a pomeranče. V chuť je ovocná , ale i kyselá s citrusovými tóny pomerančů a především kumquat což patří mezi nejmenší citrusové plody. Závěr je suchý a dlouhý s mentolovým tónem.
