Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

It's a fine black spiced rum, but not so great...It's way too sweet to me and it's not so smooth

I'd previously tried Desario (Aldi's) and whilst I stick with what I said about being great value for money, I think I like Kraken a little more, in my view its vanilla flavour is not as strong, the drink is smoother and overall its less sweet (which I prefer) I would have scored this higher than Aldi's had it not been for the price.
A sweet spiced rum but without too much viscosity and syrup like taste. I like to sip it as a dessert. Fair price.
Absolutely amazing, the vanilla hints are just so good.
The flavour aromas and smoothness if this rum are amazing I love it it was a good first rum to try

Geen fan van. Smaakt teveel naar drop en is een beetje waterig.
