A. H. Riise 2018 Ambre d'or Reserve

A wonderful spirit based on rum. The noise is hit by vanilla and dried apricots, reminding me of Stroh Jägertee. As soon as it touches the tongue you feel the fruty peach notes that overwhelms the senses.
The more you air it the more fruty it gets.
You can not label it a rum, and some pureists might frown soon it. As a rum based spirit it is absolutely great for fans of Jägertee or Don papa.

Ambre d´or Reserve is very fruity, I smell peach or apricot, rum is more like Elixir, not full taste even it has 42%.Not bad.

In my opinion it's too sweet for a rum. If didn't know my guess would be peach liquer. I enjoy sweet rum, but this too sweet

Fruity apricot vanilla sweet nose. Sweeter fruity apricot start and body. Vanilla with smokiness and a bit of oak. Gentle fruity finish. Some alcohol notes which prevents a higher rating

What a surprise. Not the usual Riise taste. Extremely fruity (peachy, mango, almost even bubble gum). Taste lingers nicely on the tongue. Very mild but what a journey. And the aroma is pure pleasure itself.

In der Nase süss und fruchtig. Du stehst mitten in einem Orangenhain und atmest tief durch. Frisch geküferte Fässer die mit sonnengereiften Orangen, Karamell und gelben Blumen gefüllt sind, stehen am Wegesrand im Schatten der Bäume.
Am Gaumen süss und sanft. Mit Orangen Extrakt umhüllte Karamell-Vanille Drops machen deine Geschmacksknospen schwach. Die Süsse lullt dich ein, eine bittere Note tut das Ihre, Holz und Harz sind ganz dezent und du willst mehr.
Im Abgang süss und klebrig. Das Bitterorangen Marmeladen Aroma bleibt etwas länger.
Ein anspruchsloser, klebrig-süsser, orangenartiger Riise. Für Süss-Rum Liebhaber, Einsteiger und Entdecker.

Sweet and fruity on the nose. You are standing in the middle of an orange grove and take a deep breath. Freshly coopered barrels filled with sun-ripened oranges, caramel and yellow flowers stand by the wayside in the shade of the trees.
Sweet and smooth on the palate. Caramel vanilla drops coated with orange extract make your taste buds go weak. The sweetness lulls you, a bitter note does its part, wood and resin are subtle and you want more.
The finish is sweet and sticky. The bitter orange marmalade flavour lingers a little longer.
An unpretentious, sticky-sweet, orangey riise. For sweet rum lovers, beginners and explorers.

This is very mild rum. The smell is really fruity and flower full. The taste is simple and sweet. You can feel some wine tastes to. Not really my style. I was considering even 6 but change my mind last moment! 🥴
