Let's start like this, whoever said they drank this neat is a lying sack of ship. I like bold rums, I am quite the fan of navy rum for this reason. Now this is something else. This is like seeing your good buddy finally get a girlfriend and she is Kate Upton, this is like expecting your first kiss and you get 3rd base. This is like falling out of an airplane without a parachute. Smelling the guy you get a bit of the appleton mixed with pussers type of vibe. Drinking it straight is like nothing else. You get sausage slapped in the mouth with so much flavor your mouth redlines and your brain even goes crazy. Basically you cannot drink this straight. Even in coke this is one bold rum that will take your coke out back, slap it around a few times, make it wear a dress and make it call it daddy. It starts like this, lick an oak cask, now burn your house down and snuff up a bunch of fumes, throw in some appleton/pussers blend and that is what you have. I would rate it 10/10 but it's so overbearing straight I just can't call it perfect. But holy goodness this is one you won't forget. Give it to a friend as a shot and watch their face.

This rum has a lot going on and definitely is Jamaican. Have it neat and if you want a twist try some Mole Xocolatyl bitters with it - very nice way to end an evening

Wow! Intense flavor, in a nice way - I can't really peg it. Very smooth for an overproof rum - I cut it with selzer & enjoyed it very much.

This is easily my most used rum of my collection when it comes to mixing cocktails. It serves as a perfect backbone to citrus-spiked drinks and makes for the best version of a Kingston Negroni. This was my introduction to the funk of Jamaican rums which I hadn't experienced before.

This is an excellent pot still that is no where near as funky as some others. This has an amazing aroma of molasses and vanilla. The taste is amazing for an over proof pot still. I really pick up tobacco, vanilla, molasses and a slight fruity taste possibly pineapple. It does have a nice warm finish. I highly recommend.

Superb on its own. Heavy notes of molasses. Very much a Jamaican run. Wait, my bartender just made me a rum Manhattan with it. Woah. Try it. GAI (get after it)

Foarte spirtos (57%) pentru gustul meu. Totuși "on the rocks" se simt ceva arome.

Could easily sip this. Good traditional jamaican, you can definitely feel it's navy strength. I have had better high ester jamaicans though.

Fles : 70cl met kurk
Kleur: licht bruin
Land: Jamaica
Abv: 57%

I don't like overproof rum. I just don't get it. But, I have to say this rum offered more than just a hot burn and a fuel like after taste. This one is for a pina colada or something of that nature. I tried it in Coke and could not taste one hint of the soda except the bubbles! But with better than 151 or White overproof. There's actually a hint of a rum taste there, after the burning stops!
