Santa Teresa is right up my alley. This is a deep and satisfying sipping rum. Aromas of cedar and oak and quite a bit of medicinal notes up front. On the dry side which is good for me yet it still speaks rum with candied orange and molasas cookies. The second pour brings brownies and vanilla. But its not even close to being a sugar bomb.
At the $40 mark it's a simple presentation and thats another plus for me. A fancy bottle is fun to look at but it's whats inside that counts and I will happily count out 40 bucks for this nectar. Eye candy not needed.

This one is one of my favorites. Ice, lime and Amaretto. Just like that!

Bit disappointed with this one. Starts off well but to much of a rougher ethanol burn overpowers what flavor initially comes through. If Zacapa xo is a nine, El Dorado 15 and Plantation 20 year are an 8 I can't give this more than a 6. The sealed cork was covered in mould as well. First time I've ever seen that.

Best as an old fashioned

Thoroughly enjoyed this rum, very smooth and there is a lot of depth into it. If I had any improvements to mention, I'd say it would need to be stronger, it's kind of missing that kick to it. Nice in an old fashioned.

This is a good rum, but like most Venezuelan rums it is dry and not too sweet. It is oaky and nutty with a slight aftertasteโ€ฆ almost like a woodsy scotch.

Enjoyed this neat with dinner at a restaurant tonight. Was very nice to sip on. Color is a deep amber and the nose was pleasant. Taste had a little sweetness accenting a deeper bouquet of nuttiness. Pretty good rum! Might consider picking up a bottle if I see it in the wild.

A fairly light rum in my opinion, easy to sip. Holds its own in cocktails.

This tastes amazing, creamy smooth rum, with caramel, toffee, vanilla and subtle hint of raisin and bitter citrus. Instantly a fan. :)
