at first I didn't know what to think of it, but over time I came to the conclusion that it is a very good bottle full of sweet finish with fruity tones

Velvety mouth and throat feel with medium but LASTING spice on the finish. Dry carmel, slight allspice, good complexity of almost spiced rum flavors. Not to sweet and love this lasting spice finish! Sipping neat is the way to go with this one.

Tasted neat on 10/3/21 at Laka Lono.
This is a Solera rum that I really enjoyed, enough that I doodled a heart in the notes section along with the words "I like."

I get a small burn/spice on this one (black pepper !?).
Really enjoyable Venezuelan rum.

I would say this is similar to zacapa 23 solero, just as sweet and a similar price range. Worthy of a purchase.

As an ethical consumer I would normally steer clear of Venezuelan rum, but I got this bottle as a gift. I have to say it is great. Opens with a delicacy and sweetness. Maintains a pure dark rum taste of molasses. Has plenty of salted caramel and toffee for me too. The alcohol bite is there but is wonderfully toned down. An excellent bottle. No wonder Venezuelan rum is so aggressively marketed these days!
