Guatemala | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)
Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.
The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.
The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

If your going to buy a special rum then Ron Zacapa pushes all the right buttons!
Great smooth Rum. Perfect to drink it on the rocks. I prefer to drink this rum with a cool rock instead of ice, better for the taste.
This is the one rum I'll recommend to anyone who asks what to buy. It appeals to a wide variety of tastes and is widely available. On the rocks or mixed with cola, it is thoroughly enjoyable and I get the same feedback from others I know who try it.
Excellent. Perfect blend of Carmel and spice. One ice cube. The best
Tady nebudu objektivní. Jde o můj nejoblíbenější rum. Co k tomu říct více?
leichter sanfter rum vanille, karamell mandel, nougat, honig und trockenfrüchte.
Good to the last drop. The best rum I have tasted in a long time.
i'm pretty sure everyone loves this rum. Unbelievably smooth. If you haven't tried it you need to get it.
This is just a great rum! This is one of my go to Rums and I am very sad when the bottle goes empty. I have converted some friends over to this one as well.
Actually quite dry and oaky.
"Flavour builds if you leave the rum in your mouth for a little longer allowing it to coat the palate."
Wonderfully intricate with honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak and raisined fruit...

Decanted, the rum displays a surprising body in the glass for something so apparently light, and has slow and strong legs down the side of the glass.

This was the first aged rum I tried, and it was love at first sight, amazing taste, it made me see rum in a completely different way and made me realized what i was missing. I consider this to be one of the best rums I have tried so far, it really has a presence and became famous for it, the combination of flavors, the aroma and how it feels in your mouth, once you have the first sip is difficult not to have a second one.
