a very sweet rum with great softness. leather, tobacco and a little chili catch. much better, if you like sweet and soft rums.

Couleur
La robe de ce XO présente une couleur d'un bel ambré profond doté de reflets acajou.

Nez
Le nez de ce Millonario se dévoile avec douceur et chaleur. Des notes de banane séchée et de toffee apparaissent, délicatement fondues.

Bouche
Lors de la dégustation, ce rhum hors d'âge dévoile une attaque d'une belle suavité. C'est dans un bel équilibre que s'exprime la large palette aromatique de ce rhum : caramel au beurre, chocolat au lait, café froid, vanille. Le tout relevé par une fine pointe épicée qui maintient l'ensemble.

As I saw all these great ratings, I was really looking forward to taste this one. Maybe I was expecting way too much, or it just wasn't the best rum for my taste. It was really smooth and overall good, but somehow blend also. Maybe I need to give it a second shot.

Creamy golden syrup, treacle, cooked fruit, crumble with thick custard and cocoa.
it is an unbalanced rum, very sweet without an original flavor,
but a good rum.

I suppose it might has something to do with the very high sugar-content, as this rum draws some crazy curtains down the glass. I am however disappointed that it has to much of the same flavor-profile, as so many other high end sweet solera rums. Most people will enjoy this, but it just doesn't have enough attitude for my taste.

This was probably my first rum I have tasted (yes not really first one - I do not count captain, etc.). I still have the bottle and saving about 2dcl to compare. Quite good rum but not my top fav - it is missing something IMO.

This is a very good rum, but it just doesn't do it for me, if you understand what I mean. For some this is their favourite, for me it just somehow doesn't quite work. Lots of flavour, just not the right one im looking for.

For a rum that has been on my wishlist for a long time and unable to try.... It was a bit of a let down... Flavour was delicate however lacked in actual flavours... Very smooth om the rocks but for same money can get El dorado 21 year

Eines vorweg der Millonario XO ist geschmacklich nicht schlecht, aber:

44g Zucker pro Liter ist kein Pappenstiel und der Preis von ca. 120€ pro Liter auch nicht.

Ich probiere mich schon einige Jahre durch die Rum-Welt und vermeide inzwischen Rums die mehr als 10g Zucker zugesetzt haben.

Es ist wie beim Doping: die Ehrlichen haben einen Wettbewerbsnachteil.

Deshalb versuche ich mit meinem bescheidenen Konsum nur die ehrlichen Hersteller zu unterstützen. Es gibt tatsächlich leckere Rums OHNE Zuckerzusatz. Reviews folgen...

Geschmacklich hat er mich übrigens an einen Fernet erinnert.

Jako dobrý rum celkem...je sladší, ale chuť má celkem bohatou. Co mi vadilo že dochuť tam téměř žádná není. Člověk se napije a za pár chvil už ani neví, že měl něco v ústech. Plus ona sladkost trošku zaoblila ostří, nějakou chuťovou výraznost... dřevo jsem tam například vůbec necítil.
