United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Yeah meh.
I did like it but then after tasting other rums , this one pales into chemical insignificance
Sorry to disappoint the elites but this is an excellent product and the best spiced rum at this price level I've tasted. Can't ever see drinking Capt Morgan, Kraken or Sailor Jerry ever again. It might not be popular to say positive things about Bacardi but we do regular blinds with this and the results are always overwhelming either straight up or mixed. Anyone rating this below a five is clearly someone I couldn't share a glass of rum with.

Just good enough for a night of heavy drinking with breaking the bank. Also useful when you have people over who want a Cuba Libre.

Liked it for making a cuba libre. Much better than other cheap bacardi rums
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Considering this rum falls under the Bacardi umbrella, it's surprisingly tasty and authentic. Not too much spice either, which means you can drink more than one glass without it being sickly sweet!
