United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

I'm not a big fan of Bacardi. But Oakheart has its place in my heart. It's certainly not a kind of rum for serious drinking or you may call it sipping. As spiced rum, it reaches a perfect balance of quality (As frequently used in cocktails, most of the spiced rum doesn't care much for the quality of the rum itself) and price. I drink it directly and it tastes good. In my memory, it provides a little bit more thickness than Sailor Jerry, which is also a very good choice for spiced rum. Well, I can find cheaper Oakheart than Sailor Jerry. So this comes first.

This rum isn't for everyone, that be said, you stick this guy in the freezer for a nice while, you'll be cracking open a pretty tasty bottle, coke, of course goes great with this rum, I have tried it with A&W rootbeer too, definitely makes the taste pop, sharing this with good people definitely helps, but it also has a decent aroma, for the price (175lL) is pretty affordable as well, but other rums can be cheaper with the right sale. Extremely cheap and I don’t understand why! Gorgeously smokey and oaky, I would drink it on a night out or at home x only downside is that it is a little too harsh for neat drinking
Très bon goût en bouche et on sent bien les saveurs.
This rum is delicious - the cinnamon and vanilla notes create a very smooth, sweet and aromatic pull with a great wood finish at the end. You can't really go wrong drinking this straight or mixed.

This is a fantastic rum in my humble opinion. At just £14 a bottle it easily outweighs captain Morgan's spiced equivalent. For the price you get plenty of warm spiced notes making a really smooth rum till the very finish. Mixed with coke makes for a nice after work relaxer. Gone through a bottle just a tad too quickly but I think I can afford to get another one!

I love using Bacardi spiced rum for mixing. First of all because it is very cheap. Secondly The spiced flavors really come out in a rum and Coke, pina colada, or other mixed drink. By itself, not good to sip.

Really good spiced rum and reasonably priced! I Will definitely get another bottle

Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
