Bacardi 8-Year is a blended rum, filtered using the Bacardi-pioneered charcoal filtering system and aged for eight years.
This rum was not released to the public until 1995, when the first limited edition Bacardi 8 was sold with a sherry oak finish in a Baccarat crystal decanter. Despite a price tag of $400 per bottle, the rum was hugely popular and led to the larger release of the blend without the collectors' features and price.

Never a fan of Bacardi but thought I would give this one a try. A mild sipper if a bit harsh. A bit of ice helps to tone it down to a gentle but not exciting experience. OK for the price and as others have said an introductory rum.

It has the typical standard cheap Bacardi taste without any quality elements. Do not recommend it!

A bit short in itβs aftertaste but i had worse rum for a higher price

This rum is a good aged rum from bacardi with a little smoky/woody taste very pleasant. Alcohol taste is light and it can be easily drunk neat. Very good mixed with juice too. Considering the price, it really is a good deal.

Carmel color, with almost too sweet aftertaste, very smooth. Drinkable over ice if cut with1:1 water. Very suitable with mixers. One of the best Bacardi has to offer.

I thought this rum was pretty smooth will probably use as a mixer just because Iβm a light weight

Very smooth and smokey.
Did I mention smooth, nice to sip.
For me better than Appletons 8 year old.

OK, when in the right atmosphere, a party with good music, this rum won't spoil my evening but it's very average
