Expecting extreme alcohol notes, they seemed to be mastered away completely. Not an everyday rum, but definitely a speciality to have on the shelf!

I find this agricol white rum really incredible.
The nose may seem a little harsh and dry, but it should be allowed to breathe a little. Then the smell of cane and pure cane juice is amazing.
For the palate despite it being 59 degrees, I find it very easy to drink neat.
We also find the taste and freshness of slightly peppery sugar cane. I find it to be an excellent Agricol white rum. it is uncompromising and a little tough, but it is one of my favorite rums. the taste of fresh ducat cane is amazing. I prefer it to the Neisson 50/52 and 55.

Bottle gifted to me by friend Patrik. Clear. Aroma of freshly baked muffins right out of the oven. Hot and thick mouthfeel. This is a delightful warmth. Apples. Pronounced woodiness (without aging?). Finishes with a jucifruit gum flavor. Delightfully powerful.

According to me, this rum is one of the most tasty rums. I have no aluminium organs, and I'm still alive!... Yes, This rum is very strong... but if you drink it with cane syrup and a slice of lime, you'll enjoy it, for sure. I think the good recipe to appreciate it is half rum, half syrup (to avoid the inconvenience of it's high alcohol vapor) and a lime quarter. No rocks needed (as the "carribean recipe"!)

This is one good Rhum Agricole from Marie-Galante! Fruity and a bit grassy with lots of citrus and other fruits. You can use it as a sipper or make the most phantastic Mojitos. But be careful with its 59%, you don't feel them until it's too late ;)

Rhum agricole blanc de Marie-Galante titrant 59.
design : basique.

Very aromatic and fragrant. It has a very pungent and savory aroma, alongside the typical agricole grass notes - bit of a love-it-or-hate-it situation. It's also incredibly (and dangerously) smooth, I wouldn't have guessed its 59% ABV at all if I was blind-tasting it; barely any alcoholic burn at all.

I got great results pairing it with soused herring, try it if you're into cold fish!

One thing I don't like: I get the impression that the bottle loses flavor really fast after unsealing - at first it was welcome, since the freshly-opened flavor had an overwhelming in-your-face pungency that was a bit too much for me, but now after about a month it starts tasting a little flat (note that it's summer here, my kitchen isn't climatized and the bottle is on a shelf; would probably be different in winter. Hasn't impacted any of my other spirits as far as I can tell, though). I assume that it's because the aroma compounds are very volatile, nothing to do with how the screw top was made.
