Trois Rivieres Cuvee du Moulin 3-Year

Nose: smells vegetal, but can't identify. Just the tiniest bit of alcohol smell. Smells grassy and fresh.
Taste: starts of with a small burn, but definitely a welcome one. Then a lot of spices, probably a lot of pepper in this one. Then some grassiness. Not sweet at all and definitely has some layers to it.
Finish: evolves into some more grassiness and pepperiness. Dry and the pepper and grass keep lingering for a long time. Almost no burn in the throat.
FInal: this is without a doubt a sipping rum. If you love agricole rums that are pretty spicy you'll absolutely love this one. Would not mix this. If you’re feeling fancy though, you might try this in an absolutely stunning Mai Tai. Also not much of a burn, so even your non-rum-loving friends will probably like this.
Notes: added 3 drops of water. Also, I'm an inexpercienced taster so the details might be inaccurate, but it's still really enjoyable for my still-developing palate.

Rhum agricole de Martinique. On sent bien chêne. Pas très complexe mais agréable. Préféré en Ti vieux ou cocktail

Cognac is very apparent even more so than in other agricoles. Add 3 points if you like agricoles or dry rum.

Presente peu d intérêts a boire seul mais plutôt agréable dans l.ensemble

To hard and rough aftertaste. Very smokey also. Needs some improvement

I lile what i got for the price i paid. A good nice rum, and the price won't send you home broke. Enjoyed it's smooth taste. And will enjoy it for a few weeks to come ;)

Ce rhum agricole plein de promesses nous enivre avec un nez sympathique (canne à sucre, épices...) et boisé...
Pour autant la bouche et tellement sèche qu'on perd vite le fil de la dégustation pour ne retenir que les défauts de ce rhum prometteur : l'alcool est trop présent ce qui donne un coté astreignant à l'ensemble et fait ressortir un petit goût terreux-poussiéreux sur cet assemblage.

Un Rhum de supermarché qui finira en Ti-vieux ou dans d'autres mélanges !

Provided the mouth so dry that quickly loses tasting wire retaining only the fault of this promising rum: alcohol is too far giving a demanding side to all and highlights a little taste dusty earth-on this assembly.

Aroma: Vůně je příjemnější, než jsem očekával. Typický agricole styl je zřejmý, ale jako by byl vyšperkovaným něčím z rumů od Arcane. Je to ta bonbónová sladkost, bari mandle, které posouvají mízu zemědělských rumů do pro mě líbivější polohy. Sladkost je tedy až sirupovitá, ale zároveň je mírněna bylinnou travnatostí, čerstvou kůrou listnatých stromů. (87 b)
Chuť: První dojem na jazyku velmi olejnatý. Medová nasládlost, ovoce, pak míza, třtina, a bohužel v dozvuku škrábání ve stylu grappy. (84 b)

Shrnutí: Ochutnal jsem díky českolipskému podniku Kavárna/bar Kocour, kde jsem zakoupil 60 ml vzorky pro další společnou degustaci v Hořicích u josého. V rámci zemědělských rumů je tohle jeden z těch lepších. To, co mi na tomto stylu nesedí, je zde uhlazeno, ale v dochuti se nakonec stejně ty negativa projeví, což mi výsledný dojem trochu pokazilo.
