Pyrat XO Reserve

I went into this one with high expectations. After all they use the same bottle as amazing Rum & Cane, but I had to curse the day I even thought they would fit in the same category.
When opening the bottle and having the first sniff it feels like a mix of industrial cleanser with a lot of sugar to keep it mild. After a moment in the glass it started developing some cleaner, more natural features, but even after 30 minutes in the glass it still remains a weak rum

Orange flavour with strong taste of cheap alcool. So with a 3 I am generous.

Sweet taste and full of orange but it need a time before drink

This is a cheap rum dressed up. Not sure on the intent, but should be limited to mixed drinks..

I was able to pick this up on sale and I was extremely happy with my purchase. It’s a strong flavored rum witch was great for making mai tails and other cocktails.

No longer called a rum, it is akin to Cointreau in taste - except cointreau beats it 10 - 0 in taste. Cheap spiced alcohol.

I like this bottle, it is nice rum with orange flavour, not so sweet.Cool rum !

Ich hätte mir von einem XO mehr erwartet. Er ist zwar mild, wie man es von einem XO erwartet, aber der Abgang ist mir nicht intensiv genug. Als Schulnote vergebe ich eine 2,5.

Po nalití do sklenice jsem přičichl a cítil jen štiplavou vůni alkoholu, stejně alkoholický byl i první doušek. Když se Pyrát nechá odpočinout, tak začne příjemně vonět i chutnat. Hodnocení lehce sráží značka, celkově na mě ta láhev i značka působí lehce prvoplánově a lacině, spíž než cíl pojďme dělat dobrý rum, pojďme dělat něco co se bude dobře prodávat.
