Virgin Islands, British | Aged | 40% ABV
The Great British Admiralty first served rum daily to its Royal Navy sailors over 300 years ago until the ration was abolished in 1970. In 1979 Charles Tobias bought the recipe rights, formed Pusser’s Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands, and for the first time made the rum it available for public consumption.
Pusser’s British Navy rum today is the same blend of five West Indian rums as the British Admiralty issued to sailors.
Known as the “single malt of rum” Pusser’s British Navy rum is pot stilled using a similar method as that for single malt scotches, and with no artificial flavors is 100% natural.

Maybe not top notch, but certainly something I'd be happy enough to drink as part of my weekly allowance. Caramel and a hint of lime. Maybe some vanilla in there.
A strong rough taste which made it less easy to enjoy just sipping. I expected a bit more in flavour given the often superb reviews. It warms you up for sure, for which it deserves credit, but still a six as not so memorable. Based on tasting a 2cl sample.
It's a bit hard to believe this is only a 3 year old rum because it is very smooth. My only dislike is the pungent apricot note. I decided to try it in a rum and coke and it was great. For the price it's a pretty nice sipper or mixer if you don't mind apricot. 6.5
I like sweet rums so I wanted to give 6 but gave 7 because I feel that is a good one. Maybe if it was sweet would be much better. ;)
Just another ordinary rum, not for me. 3-years is not enough indeed. I like overproof version, but not this one.
This stuff is overly sweet and tastes terrible. Not buying this again.
I know what I like and its not this just not my cup of tea prefer light spiced than the dark rums
This is a unique rum with a blend of funk and caramel. I don't think I've found a rum that has the same flavor profile that makes great cocktails.
Original tot served to sailors

It has just the right balance of sweet.
"The rum is rich, warming, sweet, slightly oaked with hints of black pepper and allspice."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A piece of history that will always be in my collection.
Ester rich, pungent pot stilled perfection. Stewed fruits, brine and spice.
Brilliant.
The bench mark for Navy rum.
I only left a star off because the overproof is really the authentic deal but it's the same rum just with less water added.
