Plantation 2009 Fiji

Nez avec des notes crémeuses de caramel, de cacao et de fruits.
En bouche, le bois domine et on remarque le taux d'alcool élevé.
La finale est longue, sur des notes fruitées et épicées.

Sampled at the Laka Lono Rum Club tasting on 4/13/19. Seems too young. Hot aroma and palate. Lots of pepper. Slightly metallic. Lots of oak rescues this. A bit pedestrian.

This one did not please my tastebuds. At all. But you can’t win all the time.

I love Plantation brand rum.
I'm satisfied to drink a lot of Plantation rums, However, I can not drink this strange smell rum.
Is it only my one??

So I love plantation products with my favorite being the 20th anniversary, but this is literally the first one I've basically dumped down the drain after trying. Its not cheap and i wouldn't recommend it, but i'm also new to rum too so maybe i dont know...That being said I'm a chef and like to think i have a decent palette and this one is just not worth consuming in my opinion.
