Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

First a sniff of vanilla and caramel. Mmm!
Then the taste, ooh, vanilla, caramel and spices rolling around in your mouth.
More of this? Yes please.

If this is offered to you, don't refuse. The one of the best rum I have tasted in my 3 years of tasting, I will always keep in my cabinet. It goes with rocks or just warm, it's still amazing. Just smooth and sweet coconutty, creamtoffee, cocoa and fruity warm heaven.
Have done a few blind tastings with a number of different rums, and this has always come out on top for me.
Love the balance and elegance from this Plantation Rum. From Barbados it is the perfect mixed of vanilla-coconut (from a first ageing in Barbados) and the spice and clove notes (from the second ageing in Cognac cask in France). I like all the Plantation rum range but this one is my fav !
This is the best rum price-quality in the
market!!!!
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

Coconut, Caramel, and a light touch of vanilla are what comes to mind while drinking this beauty I don't think I've ever had a plantation rum I haven't liked before and this seems to be their crowning achievement
