Definitely Jamaican rums are unique! The so called “funk” gives these rums a very special touch. This is no different in that sense: banana flavor, pineapple, vanilla, and some toffee (slightly sweet). I found it a little rough (i.e. burn) in the finish. Good value for money.

This has some serious “funk”. But unlike Hampden it is balanced. Oak, banana and vanilla right up front. Also the fine strong bite. But is all in balance. It hits the pallet so smoothly revealing the molasses and some tobacco notes. Great body. It goes down as easy as water. So smooth with a very long lingering finish. Fine rum. Money well spent. This is what a Jamaican rum can and should be.

Among the jamaican’s, worthy park has their own signatur funk, which seem’s more well behaved than some of the naughtier names, like Hampden. This doesn’t make it more or less appealing though. The nose is really aromatic and a little earthy with notes of banana, musty pineapple, milky tea, hints of rubber, varnish and sawdust. Given a little time, chared wooden notes also peaks out.
Given the potent nose, the taste is, a little surprisingly, somewhat light bodied but not without flavour. Tasty rubbery notes unfolds with an underlying banana sweetness, then rolling towards black tea and a bit of a spicy finish with pepper and ginger, ultimately giving way to the lingering pineapple sweetness.
It started out as a 7 for me, but as I’m getting to know this bottle, it’s closing in on an 8. The price is perhaps slightly to high, but it’s no biggie. Recommended and enjoyable bottle if you like Jamaican.

I really wanted to like this as it was brought back to Aussie for me from the UK.. but its just not for me. Very acetone on the nose , too much nail polish remover and glue notes , lovely floral and fruity notes as well... left to breath for a while but all i could think of was whisky , on its own , with ice and also mixed , just overpowering whisky taste. Damn..
I then poured myself an Appletons Joy rum to remind me that i do normally like Jamaican rums !

Very nice funky Jamaican rum. Bit milder than the Worthy Park 109, but that may be due to the slightly lower ABV. Honestly, I'm not sure this is worth the price over the WP109. Originally, I was going to say that I probably just prefer younger Jamaican rums, but that's not the case since Hampden rums are also aged and don't lose the bold flavors. Having said that, this may be an easier sipper, without the huge funk. I think I would put this at a comfortable 7, while the WP109 is more like a 7.5 (and a much better value).

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to try this beauty. I little bit funky and great depth. I’ve had so many bottles of the apples 12yr which I love but this WP gives it a run for its money. The apples is slightly more perfumey. This is complex and just the right amount of funk and chewiness.

I can tolerate this rum neat, or with ice. But it is not worthy of the price. Diplomatico or Plantation XO special, is way better than this stuff. The Diplomatico costs $65, The Plantation is $80, and this garbage was $85.

Disappointment, for his price. Aroma some banana and fruit. Taste very short and sharp from alcohol, filling that rum very young.

Good stuff, fine smell, taste as well, this is average good rum for good price.
