The Pampero distillery was founded by Alejandro Hernández of Venezuela in 1938. The brand is now a division of the world’s largest liquor holding company, Diageo.

good for mix o to drink in combination at cakes and other pastry
It's a full bodied drop, coarse nose with tobacco and woody up front. Not as lengthy a finish as I'd like but it mellows nicely with smoke. Dry and not too sugary.
Son packaging sympa fait oublier son manque de caractère. Il est dans la moyenne des rons de type espagnols.
Despite its beautiful color and old-school leather-wrapped bottle, the nose on this rum calls to mind the grain spirits, with lots of astringency, and dusky tones. It's rum on the lips though and provides a smooth finish. I found very little complexity of flavor, however, and thus began to favor it with a splash of coconut water. Had expected more, frankly.
Excellent for sipping through ice!
the Pampero Anniversario is a good smooth and sweet ron! I personnaly like it and it's leather bag packaging looks very nice also!
Works out good in cocktails which require aged rums but he is also a nice sipper, has hints of caramell and vanilla and is a smooth one ;)
Very Nice Smooth rum, great daily drinker
I was introduced to Pampero Aniversario by a bartender I knew at a bar I frequented often when I work in NYC. I was looking for something I could enjoy throughout the evening, but would have the flavor to stand up through snack and smoke. The Aniversario is sweet caramel and toffee goodness with light hints of oak. Best when enjoyed alone, but also does well with a splash of ginger beer. Still one of my go to rums.
Not as smooth as the the Reserva but still a very sippable rum
Quite light and buttery.
"It’s a pleasant nose which suggests good ageing and there is a light oak to the nose which is well balanced."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The smell never got better no matter how long it sat straight astringent nose. The first few sips were decent but slightly harsh it was not until I was a quarter thru the bottle it started tasting less harsh. This goes down easy in the throat but a bit dry. I could not detect much flavor or sweetness in it to be honest the dryness masked the flavors for me a bit of water did not help. I mixed it with some coke and that seemed to help out in terms of flavor. I ended up drinking the better part of the bottle in a sitting. I rate this highly because it gave me no ill feelings or hangover at all. With this bottle I consumed 2 cigars, a Triple whopper with cheese, bacon, ketchup, mustard, mayo, A double cheese burger no pickles, French fries, and 3 bbq chicken strips. Then I passed out and awoke early the next morning feeling great. Because of the no hangover effects I upgraded this from 7 to an 8.
