It's a very well balanced rum, a better Botucal Reserva Exclusiva. Less sweet than RE.
I appreciate the 43%. The profile is still a Diplomatico. I like especially the ripe bananas with caramel, that's the character of Diplomatico for me.
Of course it's very pricy and thats why I would still go for Diplomatico RE.

Smell: caramel, vanilla, some banana, raisins and dried fruit, oak (very balanced)
Taste: caramel, burned sugar, dried fruits, ripe banana, raisins, wood
Finish: spice, not harsh, not too sweet, raisins

Sweetness: 2.5/5
Spice: 2/5
Fruits: 3.5/5
Mildness: 4/5
Value (89€): 4/5

Very nice, but i expected more of it costing double the limited exlusiva.

Ve vůni je cítit vanilka, med a karamel. Barva tmavě jantarová. Chuť jemna je zde cítit zejména karamel, vanilka a drevo. Závěr krátký a nevýrazný.

Excellent reviews and in search for something different - here I am for this rum. A sort of disappointment for me. Bold but tough, not sweet at all. Is like you ride a zebra: nice but why I am doing this?

Have had this one for a while together with three other of the single vintages and this is the first one I open.
I think it has a nuanced, complex and a elegant taste of almonds, nuts, chocolate, yellow fruits such as orange, arrack and with a hint of candied figs.
The Sherry finish is also clearly recognizable.
The finish is quite long.
Unfortunately I think it’s a little too sweet even though the ABV of 43% balance the sweetness to a certain grade.

Je to dobrý rum, ale mám jiné chuťové preference. Při ceně do 2500,- Kč asi odpovídá poměr cena / kvalita.

Great Rum, bringing more complexity than the classic Diplomatico. Also you don’t have this mixed feeling when you taste it whereas you’re wondering if it rhum or caramel liquor. Too much alcohol presence while tasting it.

This is a good rum but I guess each to his/her own. It’s nice but I found the after taste a little harsh with a slightly bitter edge. Not as smooth as others and not much character. 7 for me, no where near a 10.

N- Interesting pickled ginger but lead to sticky sweet syrupy dead end; middle layer is nice with spicy zest, chocolate clotted cream and tinned fruits. Oozing molasses with floral honey, but rather superficial and lack depth. (83/18)

P- Thin with weak texture. Sweet cola candy sunk into the semi creamy lacto. Lack the quality and notable character as single vintage. (79/16)

F- Short-medium, some waxy fruit to pleased, light with drift of oak. (79/16)

B/B- 79/16

Weighted Rate- 66pt. What have you done in the barrel for the past 12 years?
