This one is a mixture of cachaca distilled from cane juice and column still rum from molasses. It is truly unique and many mixologists claim that the sky is the limit for making craft cocktails with this one. Since it can be sipped neat, I would rate it as an artisan cachaca. Pepper on the tongue is rather high with a very faint hint of molasses on the finish. It is crystal clear. The nose is just like an artisan cachaca. The taste and finish is where it differentiates itself from it's Brazilian neighbors. So glad that I finally got to try it and worth the trouble of trying to find it. I am sure that it would make an awesome caipirinha.

And take it easy with this one! It is one liter at 92 proof. It will knock you onto your tail!

Tasted at Hugmanโ€™s Oasis on 2/20/23. Clear. Very cachaca bready aroma. Flavor is like a smoked mezcal. Love it. Need it.

Wow! What a grassy, breads nose!
Taste: soy sauce, sesame... hoisin?? I'm just really thinking about all the things that could happen alongside this rum - a marinade!! With dark chocolate!! Alongside fine Chinese food!!
Tasted at Hugman's Oasis 2/20/23 on San Antonio's Riverwalk
Edit: from the Forbidden Hole stash
Aroma: delicious bread and grass and sweetness, perhaps this reminds me of challah?
Appearance: the bottle is blue, don't be fooled, the rum is clear
Flavor: I still love this! Above notes are accurate, I am lifting the rating to a 9.

Has a nose of Haitian/Agricole. Taste is grassy, molasses. Peppery but also very sweet on the aftertaste. Low punch.

Ok, it's a Mexican Cachaca but it has Caribbean hints to it. Half estate grown cane juice done in a pot still and half column stilled molasses. I like this rum and it's a great mixer.
A little heat on the nose, peppery with a bit sugarcane hint.
First taste was balanced and peppery. The pepper gave way to a rubbery taste for a sec, then kind of a grassy thing, then some sweet biscuits, more pepper and cane juice thing. Finish was long and a bit peppery.
I like Hampden too much to drink this straight, but it's a wonderful Agricola to include in a tiki drink. Made a Mai Tai with it and was quite impressed.
Excellent rum! I'll definitely be buying more.

If I wanted Tequila I would buy a bottle. Nose is a lot funky and as a sipper I thought it was pretty nasty with a bite that did not want to go away. Did not find a mixer that added anything to it and not see it blended. I do not like tequila and this tastes like a sweet tequila without the worm.

I have read the other reviews but just do not see it as good for anything in my bar.
