Penny Blue VSOP

Досить таки закритий аромат, смак грубуватий, непоганий ром, але не вразив.

Bought as a gamble but falling in love with it. That's exactly my taste for sipping with a friend and playing backgammon rum.

Charming mild rum with a gentle fruity nose. First a sweet taste on the palate quickly followed by spice and oak.

manque un peu de caractère mais quand on sait que ce rhum n'a eu aucun rajout, on se dit que c'est tout de même un bon produit! ;)

It’s nice. Very smooth. Almost bitter it’s so dry. Kinda tastes like havana especial if you took all the sugar out. No complex flavours at all. Overrated. Perfect for a Manhattan.

Ok, this is a very good rum and price is on a good side too! You know it is from Mauritius, as these rums have special taste, just by smelling without even trying.
But , why not try it!! It is a bit of a stronger taste, on natural side sure, no sugar added. First sip and you get that punch that is very well balanced and lasts for a long time. After, when you breakthrough you can sip it just so easily. It is a good rum and is well preserved in different casks, that gives it different layers of flavour. Good!
Only thing that is really not 100% for me is a taste of melon, which is the only fruit I don't really enjoy. But maybe in this rum it will be not so sweet and sticky all over the face :) Anyway I found the taste on luxury side too, after a few tryings...
Overall very good rum for like half of price of others, definitely sipper to have!
