El Ron Prohibido Gran Reserva 15-Year

On the nose, there is sweetness, xmas cake and caramel.
In the mouth, it is mostly Kaluha. SO much so that I found myself wondering if there had been a huge mistake at the bottling plant in Mexico.
It is very soft and smooth, but very nearly sickly-sweet. I generally don't use mixers or ice in my rum, which is just as well because I don't think there's much in the way of mixers that would work with this.
This particular bottle cost me £58, if I remember correctly - it isn't worth that much, but it is certainly sweet and sippable.

Nie do końca rozumiem niektóre słabe opinie, ale każdy ma swój gust. Pierwsze co bardzo interesujący, ciemny kolor. Pewnie dodatkowo zabarwiony, ale i tak robi dobre wrażenie. Zapach delikatny, lekko słodkawy. Smak naprawdę niezły. Lekko słodki, ale nie za słodki. Całkiem delikatny, minimalne czucie alkoholu. Bez rewelacji, ale warty spróbowania.

On the nose there is almost nothing, the taste was very thin, almost as if it was dilluted with water, alcohol and bitterness. Found it hard to empty the glass with the sample.

Rum jistě na první pohled překvapí svou tmavou barvou, chuť je relativně sladká s neobvyklým nádechem ořechů.

Původ: Mexiko
Aroma: Karamel, kůže, nasládlá větrovost. Bohužel je cítit trochu i líh. Jinak zatuchlost, presso, kakao a melasa. (83 b)
Chuť: Melasa, kakao, pak se ozve pikantní štiplavost, která jde dokonce až do chilli papriček. Tmavá čokoláda, větrovost, káva a kořenitá nasládlost v dochuti. (85 b)
Body: 84/100
Shrnutí: Oproti 12 yo verzi solidní pokrok v chuti, ale vůní mi víc seděla dvanáctiletá verze.

Matured heavy rum with complex aroma and taste. Very smooth - absolutely no burning. Sweeter, but not too much. Long aftertaste with fruit and wood tones.

Color is dark, sweet tones, strong, chocolate and coffee..
Subtones of plums, sultans. Little wood, nuts...

When I read the label at the store, I say to myself "Hum Mexican rum, maybe this is a discovery". Really disapointed. Taste, real rum taste, not there. Only a coarse wood taste mixed with old wine kept outside in the sun of the mexican summer.
