Please input the URL directly to the vendor page with the rum for sale and we will automatically show it on RumRatings
Myerโs Original Dark Rum is a blend of up to nine different rums of various ages, all of which are distilled using Jamaica's typical production method: pot-stills. The Original Dark Rum is slightly unique in Jamaica however, because some of the molasses used earlier in the process is added back in after distillation.
Myers rum has been produced since 1879 and named after its founder, Fred Myers.

We bought this one on holiday as we did forget to bring some good rum with us and this was the best looking and most expensive rum we did get there.
As we sipped that one we looked at each other and almost spit it out. We also tried mixing it, but that is no pleasure... I prefer to drink rum straight up, but also mixed we couldn't & wouldn't use this bottle and emptied it to the sink...
Myers's rum is one to mix with ginger beer or a cocktail. But if you're a little heavy handed on the servings, its all you'll taste its extremely dark and pleasant if served correctly. But if you're not a dark rum fan then I wouldn't recommend this one to ya.
Relatively cheap, great for mixing. Current favourite Mai Tai rum for me.
I'm not much of a Myers and coke person but living in Florida we make a lot of exotic pool side drinks, and for us our favorite mixer is Myers!
Utility run that has flavor. Good for mixing with stuff.
For drinks that call for a dark rum, this works. It's got a flavor distinct from light/clear rums and I really enjoyed using it for hurricanes with Pat O's syrup. Better than average and if used in the right drink can be really nice.
I felt this was much too sweet to drink straight on the rocks. Probably better served as a mixer.
The rum is 50% inviting and 50% telling you to watch out!.
"Initially it is all caramel and burnt toffee almost like black treacle. As the aroma develops that rich Jamaican aroma also makes an entrance amongst the dense treacle."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Another one I think is only good for mixing. Its good in a pinch cause of the low cost. There are way better rums out there.
