Santos Dumont XO Elixir

In der Nase Düfte von frisch geröstetes Holz das mit Karamell übergossen wurde, frisch gepflückte tropische Früchte bleiben daran kleben.
Am Gaumen ultra-mega-super süss und eine Konsistenz wie Sirup. Aromen von frisch gepflückten und geschälten Orangen, kandierten Orangen, Orangenschalen, Kakao, Holz, Karamell, Vanille und ein paar Gewürze wabbeln in der Süsse ziellos umher.
Im Abgang extrem klebrig und süss, Holz, Orange und Karamell tanzen einen Samba.
Ein Elixir der super-süssen Klasse, erinnert mich ein wenig an den Pyrat Rum nur zigmal süsser.
Eine Freude für Schleckmäuler und alle die mal einen richtigen Zuckerschock möchten. -7

In the nose scents of freshly roasted wood doused with caramel, freshly picked tropical fruits stick to it.
On the palate ultra-mega-super sweet and a consistency like syrup. Aromas of freshly picked and peeled oranges, candied oranges, orange peel, cocoa, wood, caramel, vanilla and a few spices waft aimlessly around the sweetness.
In the finish extremely sticky and sweet, wood, orange and caramel dance a samba.
An elixir of the super-sweet class, reminds me a bit of the Pyrat Rum only umpteen times sweeter.
A joy for gourmets and all who want a real sugar shock. -7

This is the only Santos I will keep in the collection, but only for my wife. It's such a glue that I can't swallow it anymore, and I don't understand that it has 40% alcohol. Guys don't really drink this, but it has a charm and a woman deserves it and the price is decent too ...

Tohle je jediný ze Santosů, co asi budu držet ve sbírce, ale jen kvůli manželce. Je to takové lepidlo, že už to nedokážu polknout, a nechápu, že to má 40% alkoholu. Tohle chlapi opravdu nepijí, ale kouzlo to má a žena si to zaslouží a cena taky slušná...

Rum has a nice amber color and is delivered in a square bottle with a strength of 40%, which is quite a high value for the elixir.
I could smell honey, oranges and coconut in the scent, which is not very intense. You can also taste honey, oranges, ripe tropical fruits and coconut on the palate. The taste is rather sweet.

This is an even sweeter variant of Santos Dumont XO rum. As the name implies, it is a rum liqueur. If you like Legendario 7 Anos Elixir, Santos Dumont is better in every way and maybe not so sweet as the Legendario.

Ve vůni kokos, vanilka. Neskutečné sladká chuť. Je to jako pít margotku. Na mě sladký extrém, ale ženě chutná.

Its good combinations of sweetness and sweetness, if you would like to make impression on girl which like anything super sweet, you will be winner.

Technicky nejde o rum (co udava aj vyrobca na etikete) ale o rumovy liker. Myslel som, ze nemoze byt sladsi rum ako v slame balene Millonario Solera 15, mylil som sa :-).
Voni a chutovo velmi pripomina tekutu margotku (rum-kokosova sladkost). Vona aj chut je samozrejme koplexnejsia, po ovoci, citrusoch a orieskoch ci cokolade.
Napriek tomu, ze mam v rume sladkost rad, toto je daleko za hranicou toho co pre mna predstavuje rum. Je ako dezertne vino, ktore sa neda popijat cely vecer.

I have tasted a bottle some time ago. It is quite brutally sweet (yet still strong with about 40%) maybe even for elixir fans. But the taste is really good - just beware of getting drunk too early as it is no >30% material :) P.S. I think SD Palmira is +- same quality and less sweety. Plus the bottle is very solid built and awesome shaped (though exactly the same as Gold of Mauritius)

Velmi sladký rumový likér v překrásné láhvi, díky které dostává punc exkluzivity. V chuti je znát vanilka, meruňky a nejdominantnější je výrazné marcipánové aroma. Jako kdybyste pili zkapalněné Mozartovy koule. Je to jeden z nejsladších rumů co jsem pil. Oproti rumům od A.H. Riise je tento ale jiný tím, že nemá toliko bylinných tónů, spíše dominuje marcipán a hořké mandle. Bude chutnat i ženám. Vhodný jako dezertní rum.

Can't rate this one on the rum scale as I feel like it's a different category. Among elixirs it's a very good value for money. Honey, coconut and a lot of sweetness.
