Denna rom รคr vรคldigt god och smakrik. Mycket len men inte vรคldigt sรถt. Ingen spritsmak รถver huvudtaget.
Top quality rum with a taste of cognac. If that's how you roll then this is for you. No impurities to cloud the flavor. Previous reviews on the nose, taste and finish have been spot on. This is certainly one I'll buy again!
Amazingly Good! Haven't tried too many but this one is excellent.
Had high expectations in this one. And it delievered! Tried Kaniche Barbados and it was a fine rum. The Perfeccion does not dissapoint you. Not perfect but damn close. Smooth and well balanced, not to sweet and not to dry. The box and bottle like the Barbados XO are cool ๐. Impressed ๐
Very smooth mouth and throat feel with a warming finish. To sweet for my liking. Slight funk, cinnamon, honey, and baking spice flavors with vanilla on the finish. It's strange to say, but there's to much going on here. The flavors are all muddled together and quite confusing. I prefer Kanichรจ XO and will not be purchasing again.
Smooth and easy. Itโs not the best in the bar, but I do look forward to it.
Tasted on 11-18-23 thanks to Admiral Bill who schlepped it back from Miami Total Wine. Sepia gold in color. Muted treacle and snickerdoodle aroma. Maple flavors and a bit funk and a bit smoky. Lots going on here. A few drops of water and the hogo explodes. Great rum.
Tasted November 18 2023 with Rogue Rum Club, thanks to the Cains travels
Appearance: rich amber
Aroma: this smells like an emery board to me.
Flavor: bandaids, white pepper, toffee.
This is a complex rum, and the flavors together remind me of a high quality rum poundcake.
First time I tried it, room temperature and neat, it was ok. But I have if you jigger it with ice and drink it straight up after it sets it is really quite good. Reminds me of Plantation 20 year. I would buy again.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is like a deeper, richer, dryer version of the Kaniche XO, which I already thought was a great rum. Everything seems to have been tweaked just a bit in all the right ways leaving you with this absolutely masterful tropical cocktail-in-a-bottle!
Nose- That typical Kaniche core of tropical fruit (pineapple, dried mango), christmas spice and coconut. The usual molasses is replaced with a burnt toffee, giving off a darker vibe that plays nicely with the over all medicinal-ness of the nose. Definitely dryer than other Kaniche's, but still with an underlying sweetness.
Palette- This rum has all kinds of wonderful things that you never thought would go together! Coconut, orange zest, olive brine and aloe, with huge hits of christmas spice and molasses! There is a definite sweetness here, so if you think added sugars are the work of the devil, you may be upset. Then again, if you're that much of a purist, hopefully you can appreciate the rest of the quality in this work of art enough that you can look past that. The flavors all play together seamlessly and then just seem to go on and on, making it difficult to tell where the palette ends and the finish begins!
Finish- All of those great flavors from before slowly morph into even more tropical, rummy goodness, bringing out mango (tommy) peel, more baking spice, and a nice, sweet campfire smoke. The finish then sticks around for minutes, carrying a nice thick texture.
To top it all off, this rum is smooth as, without even a hint of a burn as it goes down. Though that said, it does bring that delightful warming sensation to your entire upper body.
This is just EXCELLENT rum!! I honestly cannot think of a single thing I would change. Thank you, and good on you Maison Ferrand. Good on you.
