Havana Club Añejo Especial is a blend of rums aged for up to five years produced from the fermented molasses of sugar cane harvested in Cuba. The molasses is combined with yeast and water, distilled using column stills, and aged in white oak barrels.
Havana Club was founded in 1878 by Jose Arechabala and later nationalized after the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

As a sipper it gives a weird impression of being a higher ABV. Maybe because of the taste - tropical fruits fermented in dirty socks.
Passes as a mixer.
Yeah good but not goos enough.
Just go for a havana 7
A Havana Anejo Especial with Cola started my rum journey, which was really sparked after Don Papa 7 and later Bumbu. After that my journey brought me to more pure rums of course. But I still enjoy Havana Anejo Especial with Cola on a night out.
I had it about a year ago, so I might like it now but there was just a funk flavour possible tobacco? I didn't like.
Average rum, for price is more or less good choice, little bit sharp in throat but still good taste. 5/10
Nice chocolate taste, good smell. Drink this rum in its pure form, but in cocktails it is very good.
I put it to coffe with milk. It was not bad. Drinkable smooth.

Some oaky spicy notes.
"It’s very heavy with vanilla and the caramel and brown sugar notes are too much. The rum is quite smooth and not very rough."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
