Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

A good rum for " company is coming over rum"
Comes actually nice in cuba libre and other cocktails but for sipping is this rum to me still too spicy.
nice in a long drink glass withe cola
A tasty rum. I wish is was easier to come by.
It's a very good "classic" rum, i drink it with cola and lemon
Pretty good with a mixer, wasn't a huge fan of it straight
Great for cuba libre dry rum
Strong spicy, bitterish taste, lacks body. Recomended iside a Mojito
A nice "beginners rum" Slightly sweet with some molasses and a slight spiciness.
Sweet, very good entry level rum.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Sugar 5 GPL. I tried this one at a tasting event and I was quite surprised. Great aroma and the taste is better than I expected in an economy rum. For tastes I found some wood, chocolate, caramel, and spice. Overall very smooth and no harsh aftertaste or burn.
Not to my liking for a sipping rum, but with an ice cube it could work. As far as a dark mixing rum, this is up there with the best. A rating of 7 is as high as I give for a mixing rum. Next time I need to replenish the mixing rum part of my bar, this will be on the list.
