Havana Club 15-Year

Here, things started getting interesting. I got this on a special occasion, as a gift to myself. My very first experience with aged rums. Noticable oak, satisfying bite, rich taste, long aftertaste and depth. Quite adorable. Truth is, it still could do much better. Overpriced, in my books.

Light vanilla smell. Smooth taste at the beginning, and afterwards wooden strong complexity numbs the upperpart of your mouth. Suits nicely with cigar.

A pricey but excellent rum. A smooth drink with a powerful taste and the right level of sweetness. Not worth it for rum beginners.

I just can't wrap my head around this brand. No to the 7. No to the 15.

Really special taste. Not sweet but it is sweeter than the 7 Year old.

Especially nice because it’s not readily available for US. Nice smooth rocks rum. Will sip it neat next time but uniquely Cuban and always enjoy it.

My new favorite Cuban style rum. All of the taste profile you expect, but with exceptional smoothness. I have not tasted anything quite like this.

Finally I found me a Havana Rum which was good for sipping without mixing it. This one is mmm sweet but not overly sweet and has a pleasant soft taste!

This is a strange one - I get clear notes of Calvados from this! Do not get me wrong - it is good, but--- apple. Mixed in that vanilla and brown sugar notes. Odd.

For some reason Havana Club bought in Cuba or Cuban friendly nations is different than USA. I wouldn’t recommend buying in USA. Now if you get the Cuban version this rum is a delight. Not too sweet but great flavors and very smooth
