Appleton Estate Master Blender's Legacy

A great, smooth rum. Wonderful to have on the rocks!

I have polished off 2 bottles of this rum so far and I have one bottle squirreled away for a special occasion. As another reviewer mentioned, this was a limited edition bottling that is pretty much impossible to find now. Of all of the highly aged rums I've tried (15 years of age or greater), this is my favourite. Because this rum is a blend of 30 year old rum with much younger rums, you get the deep spicey, vanilla, oak notes, but it is tempered with the freshness and vibrancy of the younger rums.

Nose: Very aromatic. Mushy banana, flan con leche in caramel sauce, brown sugar syrup, butter pecan, orange zest, seared pineapple, vanilla custard, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and a touch of anise.

Taste: Brown sugar, molasses, vanilla buttercream, dried stone fruits. These notes develop over time in the glass with baking spices, orange peel, apricot and clementine on the exit. Exquisite!

It is a rum that in the glass releases fruity aromas, vanilla, sweet, spices, citrus and dried fruit; then when tasting it you can perceive flavors like vanilla, sugar, orange, and dried fruit, without a doubt it is an exquisite rum, super recommendable, perhaps above the Appleton Estate 21 years.

Riquísimo ron estructurado a partir de una mezcla de rones añejos raros de hasta 30 años. Es un ron que en la copa libera aromas frutados, vainilla, dulce, especias, cítricos y frutas secas; luego al probarlo se puede percibir sabores como vainilla, azúcar, naranja, y frutas secas, sin dudas es un exquisito ron, super recomendable, tal vez por encima del Appleton Estate 21 years.
