Diplomatico Mantuano

Every bit as good (served neat) as the aged Plantations I favor. It’s not as sweet or as smooth as the vaunted Reserva, but enjoyable in its own right. Would make for a great “everyday” type of rum.

Cheaper and better than the more popular Reserva. Less sweet, and approaching what a rum should be

Middleclass rum, not too expensive but also nothing special.

Young dry rum, with a short taste of barrel, nothing interestingn.

It's low level Doplomatico, good as a mixer and ok on the rocks.

Lejos del Diplomatico gran reserva pero con características que le hacen bastante bueno.

Abbastanza corposo e con note aromatiche piacevoli, meglio del classico

Got this for my Bday and tried to mix with ginger tonic and vanilla, and apple juice. Made a special Christmas feeling. But it was good with ice cubes only. Had good dark tones but alcohol taste kicks in a little. After all I’ll recommend it.

Another great product from Diplomatico. This one seems to be a muted form of the Exclusiva, with a smoother finish. I think this would be a good contender for an entry level sipper… cheers!

Civilised rum. A little strong on the nose, reedy. On the taste you can smell caramel, maybe a little coffee. Finish pleasant, though not surprising.
