Rhum Rhum 2015 Liberation 6-Year

Vzorek a následně dárek od kamaráda z české rumové komunity.
Když jsem si dal první vzorek nijak mne neuchvátil, říkal jsem si průměrný rum.
U tohoto hodnocení asi i zůstanu. Podle mne si svou cenu neobhájí, ale je krásně jemný a vhodný na celovečerní pomalé popíjení.
Vůně podle mne málo výrazná, ale cítím trochu dřeva, něco chemie a snad máta a ovoce.
Chuť je příjemná, ani sladká, ani moc suchá, bez výraznějších tónů. Takový pěkně komplexní rum a co je nejdůležitější, chutná mi.
Proto mu dám poměrně vysoké hodnocení.

Vypáleno na Guadeloupe v Bielle Distillery v roce 2009, zrání 6 let v sudech po Saternes. Lahvováno v roce 2015, existují dvě verze, jedna v sudové síle 58,4 % a pak tato 45 %.
Alkohol: 45 %
Původ: Guadeloupe
Aroma: Propolis, skořice, dost výrazně kokos, který vůni zjemňuje. Opět, jako u verze 2017, závan Tennessee Whiskey. (86 b)
Chuť: Působí méně ostře, než verze 2017. Bourbonový dojem je i tady, ale je zjemněný kokosem. Celkový dojem je jemnější, v závěru pak trochu hořkne, ale naštěstí v mezích slušnosti. (85 b)
Body: 85/100
Shrnutí: Sud po Saternes bych zase nepoznal, celkově hozené do bourbonu. Ochutnáno na další společné ochutnávce s kamarádem.

Had to bring this home after trying it at an agricole tasting. Matured in previous white wine casks and bottled just right at 45% vol.
It’s tremendously aromatic on the nose with notes of caramelised buckthorne, cinnamon and herbs, especially mint. There’s also a rubbery and salted note alongside cedar wood. Very complex and extremely enticing.
The taste is big bodied and explodes with juicy grapes, toasty wood, and once again hints of that caramelised buckthorne. Cinnamon and cedar wood lingers on the finish for a little while.
This rum is intense, think port mourant level, but still drinkable at the same time. It’s very uniqe and might not be for all, but I’m in love here.

Soft, easy to drink, and fun - fruit gums - taste. It does have oak at the end, and also a melange of fruits. Totally unique style from Marie Galante, amazing!

58.4% ABV. N: a bit hot at first, then warm. Caramel-y brine. Same on the palate. Pleasantly prickly and complex. Long finish.

Just lovely. 9.

With an amber color, this rum exudes candied fruit notes, almond pastry notes and exotic fruit such as banana. On the palate, the vegetal and floral side of the plant is quite present. With a very short finish, we arrive on a final woody, fruity and spicy. Real rate : 7,5

Peut être un peu trop attendu, trop entendu mais pas si transcendent. Pas assez de rondeur, un rhum un poil trop "saccadé". Une belle longueur forestière mais manque de fruité. A comparaison je préfère directement la gamme Bielle.

Définitivement pour les amateurs de rhum mais aussi d'armagnac, de marc (ce rhum me fait vivement penser à une eau de vie de Marc portugaise - Adega Velha).
Aussi grand qu'un Caroni. Fabuleux.

N- On the dark side, medley of monk fruits, hawthorn, soft herbs, nutty, dark raisins and hints of rubber, resinous and fully tan, heavily roasted wood. Water drawn out fresh leaf, grassy earth, smokes, tropical stone fruits, longan, mineral, exotic and sweet. (22/25)

P- Robust and big, rush of tannin, espresso, with sticky dried dark fruits. Rubbery oak, with interesting dash of salt. (21/25)

F- Long, heavy and full with hefty oak, dry and spicy as it should be. Burnt rubber smokes lingers. Ripe dark fruits, highly drinkable (which not often) with dash of chilled water. (21/25)

Balanced:- Plenty of rubber and highly resinous, not for faint hearted. (21/25)
