Very basic rum for an aged, easy to drink, but not a lot of character to it
Deze mooie fles gekregen maar nog niet geproefd. Daar gaan we eens lekker voor zitten
I aquired a bottle of this and had no idea where It came from. As always I tried neat first and was quite pleseantly surprised to taste and rum with soke very noticeable whiskey characters that I was not expecting. I enjoyed it neat as it was like a middle ground and it also worked well with cola. It can be quite harsh for those with a sensitive pallet but I quite enjoyed it.
Nice one! So many good memories of our vacation to Costa Rica
This is an excellent rum for mixing but it is not good enough for sipping. Good caramel flavor.
This was my first Floor Dr Cana that I have tried and I am not too disappointed or thrilled. For a little less I would take Stades No. 8 or for the same price, the really McCoy or Plantation 5 year. This rum is a bit dry. Not overly sweet. Just nothing really standing out for me. Will probably not buy again when I know there are others in this price range that just have more to them than this rum. Solid 6 for sure.
It smells reasonably “boozy”. You still get notes of good oak ageing.
"The finish is overall quite bitter almost like dark chocolate."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I've never had the sensation of a spicy pop before like I had with this Flor de Cana. It's interesting, but the fun wears off quickly and it simply turns too spicy with little remaining flavoring. Short finish with an earthy pine type taste.
