A sugar-free 18-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). Don't get me wrong, it is a fine aged rum and if you do not like too much oak this is your guy. But then you should ask yourself: isn't it strange that this rum claims to be 18 years old and it is so light? Maybe not so honest. Also I did prefer it's younger brother the 12.

Bonus: they do care about sustainability and I hope more rum producers see them as an example.

Gorgeous! What a beauty. For a few dollars more than the 12yr, spend it and enjoy a rich, complex and flavoursome tipple that has just the right amount of sweetness and nice long finish. I do wish it was a higher abv% but so be it.

Bottiglia: voto 8.
Veramente bella e piacevole da impugnare.
Naso: voto 8.

My friend and I buy mostly Burbons and Scotches and enjoy tasting them. We found a place to buy FdC 5 yr 1.75ml for $25+tax. we have been buying them for years now and decided to branch out and try the 18yr because the 25 yr was a little out of our budget for 2 SS people. the 18yr was so impressive we decided to jump at the oppertunity to try the 25yr after the supplier said that they will sell us 2 of the 25yrs for $2 more per bottle. we havent recieved it yet but are sooooo looking forward to trying it. I gave this a 7 because I have to start somewhere.

Nose: Some fresh sugar cane, but not too much. And some oak.
Palate: Slightly oaky and sharp. A bit flat and simplistic for this age.

Rather disappointed considering the age. For an 18-year-old, the taste is empty. The bottle has been standing half-open for a long time, and the hand does rather not tend to grab it. I'm between 6 and 7, but since it's a little better than 12 year old Cana, let it be 7.
