Abuelo XV Napoleon Cognac Cask Finish

Truly fantastic rum..this one is one of the best i have tasted so far

Sehr ausgewogen, komplexe Aromen. Vanille, nicht zu süß.

Jeg kan ikke umiddelbart finde Abueloen på sherry fade herinde, men noterer her. Duften var god, ganske sød og egentlig ikke den store tvivl om de specielle fade. Første smag efter en tur i glasset var små parfumeret, men ved anden smagsprøve 10 minutter efter var det en helt anden oplevelse. Utroligt så meget den vandt. En lækker lang og blød eftersmag med en sødme fra sherryfadene. Spændende oplevelse, og absolut på wishlist i hjemmet. Prisen er normalvis 700.

This rum is smooth and rough during taste. Really excellent and good price

Another version of the XV series, I really like this one, same sweetness as the Tawny version, mouth filling loads of taste - who stays a long time, just a bit more dry on the end than the Tawny, and a lot drier than the Xoloroso version.

A Nice Strong smell and flavour - not too spirited.

Uno de los mejores rones del mundo! Añejado a punto. Fuerte con cuerpo, a la vista deja piernas en la copa. Al sabor llegan notas de vainilla, caramelo, cognac.

Another fine offering from Abuelo - reminds me of other rums finished in Cognac casks (Plantation 20) but with more flavor. Pondering which XV to try next...

Bought it at 70 euro and i love it. I am not typically one whom tastes many different flavours like bananae chocolate, melted yar and what not. I just luke a rum of not.

However this one has a strong almond scent and a littlebit taste as well. Initial very smooth, not to sweet and the 2nd phase of the taste is quite strong. The aftertaste is a bit bitter or cognac, but i do love a long lingerings aftertaste. A rum i use on special occasions.
