Elements 8 Gold

Recommended by the sommelier at a snazzy restaurant. Cool story and enjoyable drink just not quite as good as I expected.

I am not into spiced rums nowadays. This is sweet, and its taste/spices remind me of Christmas.

It's better than the other E8 I tasted -- the Vendôme--, but just slightly. Vendôme had a particular flaw, a taste I didn't like, a taste that should not be there, and this E8 Gold has the same flaw. If you didn't like one of them, you won't like the other either. I can't describe that taste, it doesn't clearly resemble to anything. The aftertaste is slightly bitter. I like the bitter of coffee or beer, but this isn't a good bitter. Probably good for mixing though.
