Cena kolem 1000,- by mu slušela více.

Think about the 2004 or 2005 (which I’ve yet to try). Add a layer of berries and cherries, you’ve got another great expression by foursquare. This is a limited release product like all foursquare products and is no longer being made like the Port Cask.

Foursquare have been one of the leaders in rum in the last couple of years and their "Wine Cask Finish"-series live up to the hype... and more

Nose: Sweet oak, dried fruit and a hint of red wine from the cash finish
Taste: Oak, raisins and a fruity wine note. The aftertaste is wonderful, although it is cut a little short
Overall: Wonderful rum that hits all the right marks. I was a little in doubt about using a red wine cask to finish the rum, but it gave a really complex flavour to the rum. Only the short finish is between this rum and a 9/10

Perfect rum to add to your collection or house rum staple. Another rum that doesn’t hide anything! No Chill filtration, no sugar or caramel additives. Just an honest very good, I may add, moderately priced limited rum by Richard Seale. A vast array of flavors and aromas from sweet to spicy, floral to oaky, fruity to nutty to create a nice complex rum, which you might be thinking would be a sweet rum due to the Zin influence, however, these barrels are dry barrels that housed Zinfandel, so the rum isn’t added to some Zinfandel wine still in the barrel.
Enjoy this as this rum won’t be along much longer.

So many great things about this rum!! Smooth, not too sweet, layered and complex. A beauty.

The Zinfandel Cask is an other great pot and column blend that goes toe to toe with the other four square expressions! It isn't the dark fruit and berries that I get from the others in the Foursquare lineup but is more of a light tropical fruit, which again is nothing to complain about on a hot and humid day! My palate tends to favor the deeper dark flavors otherwise this would land another 10 from me!

This one is mostly dried fruit for me (apricot?). Maybe a hint of pear. The finish has a very mild toffee sweetness. It has a full, rich flavor, yet it's quite smooth with nothing harsh or off-putting. One of those rums I could sip until the end of time.

Namely: When you smell at it, it is lovely, fruity and tasty. It ist still so in the mouth, but only after one has absorbed the shock of cask strength. It keeps a pretty long, fruity aftertaste, too.

Just that it lacks a bit of character, of a definet taste is kind of pity.

Stopped in at one of my favourite spirit stores (Drinkmonger, Pitlochry, Scotland) to buy something for the weekend and settled on Plantation Stiggins Pinapple. The woman serving and I got chatting and she recommended this. It's excellent, a far departure from the Stiggins and the likes of Diplimatico which I love. This is smooth, interesting yet not overly sweet. A great rum to add to the collection.

Un "très bon Foursquare" c'est un pléonasme. Encore une réussite du coté de la Barbade avec pour particularité dans cette bouteille un final vraiment dans l’extrême rondeur.
