Tastes too much like whisky to me, too much oak. Better off drinking Rye.

Have tried the 21 year, 15 and 12 and I swear the much cheaper 8 year is just slightly better. Aroma is a bit of coffee, caramel and vanilla. Tried neat and very little burn just soft warmth and even detecting a little Jamaican funk even though this is a rum from Guyana. Aftertaste is not too short and is just a little too sweet and there is just not any bite. It is a soft tasting rum at a really fair price.

Warm and rich aftertaste. Nice wood flavours. More on the sweet side with vanilla and tropical fruits.

I tell you what, for $6 less and 4 years younger than their 12 year, this sure does do the trick. Itโ€™s definitely sip-able, but Iโ€™m sure it would also make a nice cocktail if used properly. Iโ€™m just too lazy for that

Toffee and chocolate on the nose - sweet smell - taste is light and thin - some caramel or barrel sweetness, not much spice, not very complex - good and easy but a bit boring. One of the first rums I bought for sipping coming from years as a whiskey drinker. Found this one to be a bit thin - taste was good - maybe moving to the 12 yr.

Not a bad rum for a cheap bottle. The 8 year has a wood flavor on the front end, and you can taste the sugars on the back end.

This is only my second rum i tried as a sipper and i liked it very much. It had more depth in the nose, less alcoholic burn and an oaky caramel taste, with notes of tobacco in the long finish. Looking forward to the 15 and 21 years old ones from ED

This is a solid choice for cocktails that call for aged rum. On its own, however, it isn't terribly interesting. It has the usual Demerara rum flavors, but isn't complex and suffers from being bottled at 40%.

Good Straight and also a fine addition to your favorite tiki drink. Mellow and soft. Nothing harsh or overpowering.

My favorite, which I seem to be constantly going back to, is the 15yr old. But it's been kind of flat recently so I thought, what the heck, let's try this super cheap 8yr old. Impressive is what comes to mind here. At 1/2 price of my favorite I think I struck gold! I find more flavor here but more bite. I will be switching up in the future. Worthy, no need to say more!
