It's ok.
A good mixer from El Dorado. I couldn't find it very easy in PA, NJ, or DE, but did find it in NYC.
Love this on its own on ice, but if you like to mix it can be difficult as it has too much character for most conventional rum cocktails. Mixing with coconut water is best, but I usually have it with a squeeze of lime and ice.
Usually the best you can hope for from a white rum is for it to be smooth and not taste like gasoline. There are a few that manage to have some flavor too, such as Matusalem Platino and this one.
Pretty basic rum, good to have on the bar as a replacement for Bacardi and thats about it really...
There are traces of that sweet fruity Demerara.
"The sip is initially quite smooth but it quickly gives way to quite a strong alcohol burn in the mouth. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It's nice and dry, but I get quite a lot of alcohol on the nose, and very little fruit. Was mixing Daiquiris for guests, so wasn't able to let it sit and re-taste. At around $20, it's a fine white mixer—infinitely better than what is offered by the bigger brands. But I can't say it's much better than the FdC 4 Extra Dry, which is simply a better value (at least in my area).
That said, it's definitely worth a try, and if your options are limited, this is a much better choice than most, and I imagine a noticeable step-up from ED's Superior White (which I haven't tasted, and am in no hurry to).
