Guyana | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
El Dorado 12-Year Rum is composed of a blend of aged rums, all at least 12 years old. The rums are distilled using a combination of stills including coffey stills and a double wooden pot still before being aged in bourbon oak casks.
Demerara Distillers of Guyana produces El Dorado 12-year rum and is the country's last remaining distillery, with origins tracing back to 1670. The name ""El Dorado"" references the legendary city of gold that is said to be in the country's Rupununi region.

This is one of my go to rums for a mai tai! Good for sipping, good in a drink!

This is a great example of Demerara rum. Very smooth and easy to drink as a sipper.
One of my favorite so far. Really smooth, bit sweet with a hint of vanilla.

Velmi slusny rum, vyvazena chut, je menej aromaticky ako jeho rafinovanejsi a o nieco jemnejsi 15 rocny variant. Ladeny je viac do ovocnej citrusovej aromy, zatial co 15r je viac cokoladovejsi a jemne horkejsi. Celkovo vyborny pomer cena/kvalita, ale preferujem chut a komplexnost jeho hladsieho 15 rocneho kolegu.

This is something that did not bother me at the beginning, but was becoming a nuisance pretty fast: Added sugar. This has lovely flavors, but the sugar spoils it for me. A pity, really. Still a competent rum, even a great one for those who are not put off by the artificial sweetness.

loved the El Dorado 2. The 12 is good, and cheaper, if you can't find the 21.

Typique du syndrome premier de la classe. Ça dépasse pas. C'est propret. Ca ne surprend pas, mais ça déçoit pas non plus. C'est tout à fait correct mais qu'est-ce que ça manque de folie...
