Loved it. Good robust flavour that didn't disappoint but whoa! not long before I was feeling the strength of this one. Now it wasn't that I didn't know it was higher proof, it was more of a slam dunk, I'm drunk kinda result. Small doses from now, especially as I'm a spiced fan with a sweet tooth. I probably pour too much at a time so careful with this one. Yet to try with water but probably a better option to avoid the hit. still I loved the flavour. Fairly warming with a bit of vanilla for me. might try with ginger too but so far not had much to cheer on with that particular combo.

Although stronger I find this slightly smoother than the standard Pusser's - great sipper

Really nice stuff _IF_ you treat it like cask strength scotch. It is a bit strong right out of the barrel, but add say 5% water to it, and it is absolutely amazing.

Velmi dobrý rum. Silný, ale zároveň i jemný. Neřekl bych že má skoro 55% alc. Opravdu velmi dobrý rum. Hlavně pro ty, co chtějí rum, co má koule :-)

Definitely pour and let it rest. We loved the spicy aroma and lingering finish.

I'm not the biggest fan of over proof Rums but this one is a surprise. For some reason the strong alcohol flavour does not push thru that strongly. Flavour is nice and fruity. Adding some water makes it naturally even better.

Nice spiciness and lots of citrus but the alcohol is too strong for me
Lekker om puur te drinken maar wel iets minder dan de 15y van Pusser's, hij is veel sterker van smaak

This is a wonderful example of a demera rum ... Beautiful at full proof .. lovely chocolate and sugar notes

Finaly some Rum to buy = read, i had the money, they all long gone by now :D

The aroma is very full and vibrant with soaked raisins, dark chocolate mousse, sweet pipe tobacco, cinnamon and flambeed banana. It's hard not to like that composition.
The taste is not surprisingly a bit "explosive" given the 54,5% vol. but it doesn't seem completely out of control. An intense flurry of toffee, nutmeg, ginger, honey, black tea and oak washes over the tongue but I don't feel mistreated by the strong spirit. The tingling spices linger for a good while, eventually leaving me with a warm feeling in the chest and the subtle taste of rum soaked raisins.
I'm starting to think that quite a few of the cheaper overproof rum are really good value, because you get so much taste compared to the majority of rum in this pricrange. Another great example of overproof, ridiculous value is smith n' cross.
